The History of Jourdan Graphic Services

Our company started as a part time venture in 1978, with one employee in a 10 x 20 room and very limited equipment and abilities, building dies for the commercial printing trade. We quickly progressed into a full blown diemaking and diecutting operation, servicing the Lexington area printers with needs previously provided by Louisville and Cincinnati companies. 

As the company continued to grow we recognized a need for small volume folding cartons of various kinds. With the support and encouragement of a large folding carton manufacturer, Gulf States Paper Corporation, we made our entry into the boxmaking industry. This relationship proved to be a milestone in the advancement of our company; the opportunity to work so closely with a major national carton supplier allowed us to learn the industry and its standards of professionalism at a pace that would have been impossible on our own.

After several moves we now occupy a 12,000 square foot building with each of our very dedicated employees exceptionally knowledgeable in their particular fields; most are cross trained and all are unmatched in their abilities to produce folding cartons to the exacting specifications required by today’s high speed cartoning and filling machinery. We are called on to provide line test cartons for name brand products found in every home. Our cartons are used frequently at trade shows worldwide to demonstrate cartoning machinery to the trade. 

The industry we have chosen to work in provides us with a satisfaction of work and purpose not found in many occupations. We strive to stay abreast of recent changes and advancements in the industry that affect the efficient production of folding cartons. As the packaging industry continues to progress, you can be assured we will be there on the front line providing quality folding cartons and packaging to properly protect and present the product inside.
